Established in 1874, the Universal Postal Union (UPU), with its headquarters in the Swiss capital Berne, is the second oldest international organization worldwide. Today, PUMed counts up to 21 member organizations.
We have received very positive feedback from delegates, who were impressed with the level of interpreting and the clarity of sound.

PUMed Union holds regular conferences for its members to discuss best practices and areas for greater collaboration. At the invitation of the French Post and with delegates attending from Europe and the Middle East, its event in June 2019 was held in Marseille, France.
“Interpreting is essential for our meetings, which are interactive and inclusive,” says Elisabeth Massonnet, deputy director, in charge of UPU and restricted unions at the French Post. “However, using traditional interpreting has been complex and expensive. We also have limited floorspace in this venue. For these reasons, we looked for an alternate set up using remote simultaneous interpretation.”
The meeting required English to French and French to English. Interprefy shipped its "S-Box", a plug-and-play piece of hardware which sources audio and video feeds from the event. Interpreters worked from controlled environments in London. Interprefy also provided onsite and offsite support to ensure the event ran perfectly.
Conference delegate were able to easily download the Interprefy app and listen to real-time interpreting on their smartphones. “We have received very positive feedback from delegates, who were impressed with the level of interpreting and the clarity of sound,” said Elisabeth.
