Defence for Children International (DCI) is an independent non-governmental organization that has been promoting and protecting children’s rights on a global, regional, national and local level for more than 35 years, and is currently present in 46 countries.
From May 31st to June 3rd 2016, the International Secretariat of DCI organized a workshop in Geneva on access to justice for children, in which 13 representatives of national sections in Africa and the MENA region took part. Interprefy was able to provide software for the event, and through the use of Interprefy’s stand-alone solution, participants were able to use traditional radio headsets to listen to presentations, translated from French to English and vice-versa.
"Interprefy’s software allows you to hear the speaker in person and be able to receive direct translation through a traditional headset. The overall quality of the system and of the interpreters was really good. The technical support was top-notch. When you organize this type of event, the added value is that you don’t need to worry about renting a room with a booth and have interpreters coming in person. You simply need an internet connexion. Interprefy has found a unique solution to an ever-growing problem, and it will be exciting to see how they grow over years to come." – Johan Vigne, Project Officer, Defence for Children International
